Facebook Global Future INFOGRAPHIC

Facebook’s more than 650 million users are a population larger than many countries in the world. Nothing drives home the sheer enormity of the social network’s reach like a comparison with other nations and points in history.
Our friends at Pingdom have done exactly that with an infographic we’ve reproduced below. Please let us know what you think of this visual representation in the comments section.
Facebook Global Future INFOGRAPHIC

Facebook currently enjoys the most success in North America and Europe, but the site’s membership is growing faster in Asia and South America.
If the current pace continues, Asia and South America will outgrow Europe on Facebook sometime next year. India and Indonesia, along with Turkey, show the greatest growth potential.
These observations come from an exclusive infographic given to us by Dell (laptops), which looked at global search demand for Facebook-related terms over the last seven years.
As you can see, Dell’s infographic requires some close study, and here’s how to look at the different components:
  • The width of each radius in the image shows relative demand.
  • The length of each radius represent the rate of growth over the past two years.
  • The inner circle shows the commercial regions of the world.
  • The outer circle shows the top two countries in the region.
Let us know in the comments section what you think about the info-graphic showing how Facebook might grow in the future.
